Softball Recap: Excelsior Charter Takes a Loss

Excelsior Charter and Hesperia Christian squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Excelsior Charter had to settle for second. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 16-3. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Excelsior Charter saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evangeline Archuleta, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Excelsior Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11-1. As for Hesperia Christian, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-7-1.

Excelsior Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hesperia Christian, they will square off against Rancho Mirage at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rattlers have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season.
