Basketball Recap: Military Magnet Academy Skates Past Crown Leadership Academy with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lucy Beckham, Military Magnet Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 69-24 victory over the Crown Leadership Academy Lions. With the Eagles ahead 41-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Military Magnet Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Brown, who went 8-for-10 on his way to 17 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayshawn Bailem, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 15 points.

Military Magnet Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Crown Leadership Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Military Magnet Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 84-37 loss against Ashley Ridge on the 12th. As for Crown Leadership Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 70-20 defeat against Charleston Collegiate on the 10th.
