Basketball Recap: Carolina Christian Takes a Loss

Carolina Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were dealt a 66-18 defeat at the hands of the Walnut Grove Christian Christian Warriors. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Walnut Grove Christian found their leader in sophomore Jake Schlosser, who posted 21 points. Those 21 points gave Schlosser a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Thomason, who put up 13 points.

Carolina Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Walnut Grove Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-10.

Carolina Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walnut Grove Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walnut Grove Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.5 points per game this season.
