Baseball Recap: Friday's Win Is Mckinley's Fourth in Last Five Outings

McKinley lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Canton South, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Bulldogs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 10-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Bulldogs' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

McKinley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Canton South, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

McKinley has already played their next contest (against Coventry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Canton South, they will venture away from home to face off against Manchester at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
