Volleyball Recap: Miramonte Comes Up Short

Miramonte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alhambra Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

While Miramonte ultimately came up short, they really made Alhambra work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-20, 15-25, 26-24.

Miramonte's loss dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Alhambra, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Miramonte will square off against Mt. Diablo at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alhambra, they will be playing at home against Albany at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
