Basketball Game Preview: Charlestown Pirates vs. North Harrison Cougars

Charlestown is 2-8 against North Harrison since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Charlestown Pirates will head out on the road to square off against the North Harrison Cougars at 7:30 p.m. North Harrison took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Charlestown, who comes in off a win.

Charlestown will head into Saturday's game on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Henryville on Saturday. Everything went Charlestown's way against Henryville as Charlestown made off with a 65-41 victory. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, North Harrison ended up a good deal behind Madison on Saturday and lost 63-49.

North Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Charlestown, they moved to 12-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Everything came up roses for Charlestown against North Harrison in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 67-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Charlestown since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
