On Monday, Linsly faced John Marshall in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Linsly Cadets fell 60-49 to the John Marshall Monarchs. The Cadets' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

It was another big night for Rilee Storm, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten boards for John Marshall. Storm's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaylee White, who posted 16 points.

Linsly's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-7. As for John Marshall, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Linsly has already played their next contest, a 62-46 victory against Oak Glen on the 29th. As for John Marshall, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-43 win against Tyler on the 30th.
