Baseball Recap: Avon Park Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

After losing to St. Albans the last time they met, Avon Park decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Avon Park Red Devils walked away with an 8-5 victory over the St. Albans Bulldogs on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

Avon Park let KJ Massey and Jace King run wild. Massey scored a run while going 2-for-3, while King scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Massey has posted since back in May of 2024.

Avon Park's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for St. Albans, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Avon Park will venture away from home to face off against Clewiston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
