Baseball Recap: Lancaster Takes a Loss

After flying high against Antelope Valley on Friday, Lancaster came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Castaic Coyotes by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 9-4 to the Coyotes when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Castaic, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Lancaster will face off against Burroughs at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Burros have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. Castaic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
