Volleyball Recap: Platte County Comes Up Short

Platte County lost against Blue Valley Southwest back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves.

Kate Brunner paced Platte County's offense, picking up five kills. Brunner got some help from Ella Cruce and her nine assists. Carissa Bacon controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Platte County's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Blue Valley Southwest, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Platte County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Washington on the 13th. As for Blue Valley Southwest, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Seaman on the 13th.
