Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Notre Dame Academy can now relate to. They came up short against the Oconto Falls Panthers on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tritons have suffered since September 25th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-19.

Oconto Falls' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brenna Belanger, who had six aces and three digs. That's the most digs Belanger has posted over her last four matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Shallow, who had seven digs and one assist.

Notre Dame Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-26 record this season. As for Oconto Falls, they pushed their record up to 34-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Notre Dame Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oconto Falls, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Luxemburg-Casco on the 25th.
