Basketball Recap: Boulder Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Boulder challenged Rock Canyon on Tuesday. The Panthers were dealt a 41-13 defeat at the hands of the Jaguars. The Panthers have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Boulder got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Lexi Oder and Sabrina Maiorca, who each put up four points. Kara Dougherty held things down on the boards with four rebounds.

Rock Canyon was led to victory by Anna Spielmann and Mallori Spielmann. Anna posted nine points and eight rebounds, while Mallori had ten points along with seven boards and three steals. That's the most points Mallori has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Faith Miller, who earned six points.

Boulder's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rock Canyon, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Boulder wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-39 defeat against Ralston Valley on the 11th. As for Rock Canyon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 54-33 loss against Broomfield on the 11th.
