Basketball Recap: Columbia County Christian Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Columbia County Christian had won six straight home games dating back to last season and Pierce Cughan did his part to make it seven on Monday. Columbia County Christian enjoyed a cozy 64-46 win over the Millville Quakers thanks in part to Cughan, who went 10 of 22 on his way to 30 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Columbia County Christian's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Lenker, who posted 11 points and five assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in January.

Columbia County Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Millville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Columbia County Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-15 win against Juniata Christian on the 10th. As for Millville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-32 victory against Benton on the 11th.
