Basketball Recap: Hutchinson Comes Up Short

Hutchinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Southwest Christian Stars and fell 93-63. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Stars are ranked 53rd).

Hutchinson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Southwest Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Hutchinson will challenge Dassel-Cokato at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Dassel-Cokato's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests. Southwest Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
