Baseball Game Preview: Hendersonville Commandos vs. Goodpasture Christian Cougars

The Hendersonville Commandos will take on the Goodpasture Christian Cougars in a tournament on Thursday.

Hendersonville fell victim to Beech and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to the Buccaneers. Considering the last time the Commandos couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Goodpasture Christian entered their tilt with Donelson Christian Academy on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Goodpasture Christian pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Hendersonville, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-8.
