Softball Recap: Sam Rayburn Comes Up Short

Sam Rayburn's tournament run continued when they took on Mount Vernon on Saturday. The Sam Rayburn Rebels came up short against the Mount Vernon Tigers, falling 10-1.

Sam Rayburn's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Mount Vernon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3-1.

Sam Rayburn wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-1 loss against De Kalb on the 1st. As for Mount Vernon, they will square off against New Diana at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mount Vernon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
