Basketball Game Preview: Loudoun County HomeSchool Patriots vs. Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Patriots

The Loudoun County HomeSchool Patriots will face off against the Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Patriots at 3:55 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Saturday, Loudoun County HomeSchool didn't have quite enough to beat Frederick W and fell 39-36. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 134th in Virginia, while the Warriors are ranked 21st in Maryland).

Meanwhile, Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association was beaten by Collegiate 62-33 on Friday. The Patriots were down 47-26 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Loudoun County HomeSchool dropped their record down to 12-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Everything went Loudoun County HomeSchool's way against Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as Loudoun County HomeSchool made off with a 60-38 win.
