Flag Football Game Preview: Vista del Lago Eagles vs. Woodcreek Timberwolves + Official Tickets

Vista del Lago has won nine straight games at home, while Woodcreek has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Eagles will host the Timberwolves at 5:15 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Vista del Lago 7.8, Woodcreek 14.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

On Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Vista del Lago beat Inderkum 12-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Tigers are ranked 316th).

Vista del Lago didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Reese Clark and Taylor Peyrucain. Peyrucain is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as she's now defended at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, Woodcreek won against Rio Americano on Monday with 26 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. The Timberwolves came out on top against Christian Brothers by a score of 26-13.

Woodcreek's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Vista del Lago, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.

Vista del Lago strolled past Woodcreek when the teams last played back in September by a score of 25-6. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Timberwolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
