Basketball Recap: Sargent County Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock came into Saturday's game looking for another win against Sargent County, but Mallory Bogart wouldn't allow it. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Lions by a score of 55-48 on Saturday with plenty of help from Bogart, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine assists. She has become a key player for Sargent County: the team is 2-1 when she posts at least eight assists, but 2-5 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Karleigh Kadoun, who posted five points in addition to five blocks and three steals. She is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 43% in the last three games she's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Sargent County and bumps their season record up to 4-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Sargent County will head out to face off against Enderlin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock, they will venture away from home to square off against Strasburg/Zeeland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
