St. Georges Tech and Howard squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but St. Georges Tech had to settle for second. They were dealt a 58-31 loss at the hands of the Howard Wildcats. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Howard was led to victory by Ha'Lena Griffin and Bria Harker-Brown. Griffin dropped a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds, while Harker-Brown posted nine points in addition to six steals and five boards. Thanks to that strong game, Griffin now owns an excellent 45.1% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Noel Edwards, who scored nine points.

St. Georges Tech's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Howard, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

St. Georges Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Howard, they have already played their next game, a 63-32 defeat against Ursuline Academy on the 26th.
