Volleyball Recap: Raymond/South Bend's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Raymond/South Bend entered their tilt with North Beach on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Hyaks 3-0. The Ravens have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hyaks, too.

Raymond/South Bend was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-11, 25-17.

Ava Baugher paced Raymond/South Bend's offense, picking up 12 kills. Baugher got some help from Mayelin Quintana Torres and her 15 assists. Baugher was also a major player on defense: she and Kassie Koski shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with five each.

Raymond/South Bend's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for North Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Raymond/South Bend will be playing in front of their home fans against Morton/White Pass at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Beach, they will head out to face off against Chief Leschi at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hyaks are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
