Basketball Recap: Northeast Christian Academy Starts off Right with Win over El Paso Homeschool

Northeast Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the El Paso HomeSchool Panthers, sneaking past 23-20.

El Paso HomeSchool's loss came despite strong showings from Lisa Lawson and Addy Wolfram. Lawson dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, while Wolfram posted four points and 11 rebounds.

El Paso HomeSchool moved to 4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Northeast Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on El Paso HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. on February 3, 2025. El Paso HomeSchool will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Patterson Institute at 4:30 p.m. on January 15, 2025. El Paso HomeSchool's defense has only allowed 18.2 points per game this season, so Patterson Institute's offense will have their work cut out for them.
