Basketball Recap: St. Lawrence Central's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Lawrence Central had won two straight games and Ayden Beach did his part to make it three on Friday. The St. Lawrence Central Larries really took it to the Norwood-Norfolk Flyers for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-19 win thanks in part to Beach, who almost dropped a triple-double on 34 points, nine boards, and nine assists. His evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Jacob Evans was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in January of 2024.

St. Lawrence Central's record now sits at 10-1. As for Norwood-Norfolk, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Lawrence Central will challenge Edwards-Knox at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Lawrence Central is facing Edwards-Knox at the right time seeing as Edwards-Knox is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Norwood-Norfolk, they will venture away from home to square off against Tupper Lake at 7:15 p.m. on January 24th.
