Softball Recap: Addison Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Addison was handed a 17-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Vandercook Lake Jayhawks 12-11. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Madison McNett was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Edison, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Addison's win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-15. As for Vandercook Lake, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.
