Baseball Recap: Susquehanna Valley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mountain View last Friday, Susquehanna Valley came back down to earth. The Sabers lost 12-2 to the Owego Free Academy River Hawks on Tuesday. The Sabers have struggled against the River Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Susquehanna Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Swartwout, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. Chris Koedatich was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Susquehanna Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Susquehanna Valley will take on Bainbridge-Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Owego Free Academy, they will face off against Windsor Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
