Basketball Recap: Rockledge Finds Playoff Glory Versus Titusville

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rockledge had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They managed a 55-50 victory over the Titusville Terriers. 55 seems to be a good number for the Raiders as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Rockledge was led to victory by Conlan Oakley and Brady Kearns. Oakley went 10 for 19 en route to 22 points along with six boards and three steals, while Kearns dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. With that strong performance, Oakley is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game. Another player making a difference was Michael Merritt, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Rockledge has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Titusville, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.

Rockledge will challenge Atlantic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Atlantic has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Titusville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
