Softball Recap: Ranburne Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ranburne can now relate to. They fell just short of the Isabella Mustangs by a score of 7-5 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since April 16, 2024.

Autumn Lovvorn was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

Ranburne's defeat dropped their record down to 16-18. As for Isabella, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-11.

Ranburne didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-6 victory against Reeltown on the 5th. As for Isabella, they have also already played their next contest, a 23-4 win against Highland Home on the 5th.
