Softball Recap: Green Bay Preble Victorious

Green Bay Preble owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Menasha Bluejays. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Bluejays recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Katie Geydoshek was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hannah VonHaden, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sam Foytik, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Green Bay Preble's record is now 2-0. As for Menasha, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Green Bay Preble and Menasha will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Hornets are set to square off against their familiar foe Bay Port at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Menasha will challenge rival New London at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
