Baseball Recap: Desert View Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Desert View and Buena had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Jaguars fell just short of the Colts by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Jaguars have suffered since March 20th.

Orlando Pinedo was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Yadier Acu?a, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Desert View's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Buena, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8-1 record this season.

While Desert View had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
