Softball Recap: Julian Has No Trouble Against Hoover

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Julian). They put the hurt on the Hoover Cardinals with a sharp 21-11 win on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Charlee Sparks was a standout: she scored four runs and stole Five bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Emily Cano, who scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-4.

The victory got Julian back to even at 2-2. As for Hoover, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Julian will take on Lincoln in a tournament on Thursday. Julian is facing Lincoln at the right time seeing as Lincoln is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Hoover, they will be taking part in a tournament against Sweetwater at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sweetwater's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Hoover's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
