Southlake Carroll has gone a perfect 7-0 against Keller recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Dragons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Southlake Carroll knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Keller likes a good challenge.
Southlake Carroll is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Timber Creek for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-13 victory. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won eight in a row.

Angelo Renda had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 241 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in November of 2024. Davis Penn was another key player, rushing for 72 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries.
Southlake Carroll's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 4.5 times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up 0.5 apiece ( Jackson Oakley, Jake Lucky, Kaden Hodges, Vaughn Adams, and Robbie Ladd also recorded half a sack). Taevin Kunz got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Keller, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 38-29 victory over Keller Central on Friday. The matchup marked the Indians' most dominant win of the season.
Southlake Carroll better focus on containing David Makia and Brock Burkett as the pair were huge in Keller's win. Makia rushed for 122 yards and two scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, while Burkett rushed for 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Southlake Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Keller, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Renda and Burkett. Renda just won't slow down this season and has thrown 15 touchdowns (and and only 3 pick) while averaging 280.8 passing yards per game. Burkett has been a dominant force too and has thrown 7 touchdowns while averaging 157 passing yards per game.
Everything came up roses for Southlake Carroll against Keller when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-21 win. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
