Baseball Recap: Perry County Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Leslie County last Monday, Perry County Central came back down to earth. The Commodores took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Powell County Pirates on Wednesday. The Commodores were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 10-0.

Perry County Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeffrey Hancock, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Perry County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 16-20. As for Powell County, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-16.

As of now, neither Perry County Central nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
