Volleyball Recap: Reedley Pirates vs. Golden West Trailblazers

With a playoff game on the line, Reedley rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Golden West Trailblazers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Pirates have posted against the Trailblazers since October 7, 2019.

Reedley's got stronger as the match went on, holding Golden West to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 25-19.

Keilani Kim paced Reedley's offense, picking up ten kills. Kim got some help from Kaylie Thiesen and her 31 assists. Jocelyn Rodriguez controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Reedley pushed their record up to 21-17 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Golden West, their loss dropped their record down to 18-16.

Reedley will venture away from home to face off against Porterville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Porterville will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Reedley surely won't give up without a fight. Golden West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
