Sun Valley Magnet had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

While Sun Valley Magnet won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-22.

Sun Valley Magnet's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sun Valley Magnet will face off against rival Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Pioneers' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while the Griffins have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, Lake Balboa College Prep is set to challenge their familiar foe Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
