Soccer Recap: Marcus Takes a Loss

Marcus entered their contest against Guyer on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Marauders fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty ten goals in the game before, Marcus' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Marcus' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-3-2. As for Guyer, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marcus is set to square off against their familiar foe Flower Mound at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Guyer will face off against rival Little Elm at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
