Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Comes Up Short

Liberty Christian lost against Parish Episcopal back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Liberty Christian Warriors were outmatched by the Parish Episcopal Panthers and fell 101-66. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Panthers are ranked 12th).

Despite the loss, Liberty Christian still got an impressive performance from Max Hinds, who posted 30 points. Those 30 points gave Hinds a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Easton Hupp, who went 5 of 11 en route to 16 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Liberty Christian and nudges their season record down to 14-14. As for Parish Episcopal, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian will face off against Nolan Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully Nolan Catholic likes a good challenge. As for Parish Episcopal, they will square off against Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
