Palm Desert skates past La Quinta with ease

Recap: Palm Desert Aztecs vs. La Quinta Blackhawks

In what's become a running theme this season, the Palm Desert Aztecs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They breezed by La Quinta at home to the tune of 83-50. With Palm Desert ahead 45-23 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Palm Desert found their leader in underclassman Wil Wilson, who scored 23 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jecorey Jones, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Palm Desert has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for La Quinta, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Desert will take on Rancho Mirage at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rancho Mirage knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Palm Desert likes a good challenge. As for La Quinta, they will head out on the road to challenge Palm Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Palm Springs' favor as the squad sits on ten straight wins at home while La Quinta has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
