Basketball Recap: Glencoe Comes Up Short

Glencoe lost against Tigard back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Glencoe Crimson Tide fell 71-59 to the Tigard Tigers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (57), the Crimson Tide still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Glencoe lost, don't look at Dillon Moody. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Moody continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was King Mills, who went 7 of 10 en route to 11 points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Glencoe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Glencoe dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Tigard, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Glencoe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-52 win against Aloha on the 28th. As for Tigard, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-56 victory against Sunset on the 27th.
