Baseball Recap: Platt Takes a Loss

Platt entered their matchup against Bristol Central on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Panthers lost 14-2 to the Rams. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since April 1st.

Platt saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gio DeMatteo, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Another was Braelen Silverio, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Platt's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Bristol Central, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Platt will host Middletown at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bristol Central, they will head out to challenge Lewis Mills at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
