Softball Recap: Hamilton Wins Going Away Against Williams

Hamilton got themselves on the board against Williams on Thursday, but Williams never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Yellowjackets with a sharp 23-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Ally Odem, who went 2-for-3 with four runs and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Simpson, who went 1-for-2 with three runs and two RBI.

Hamilton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .513 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Hamilton now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Williams, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Hamilton and Williams will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Braves see the field they'll take on Biggs at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Williams, their break will end when they face Portola at 1:00 p.m. on May 2.
