Basketball Game Preview: Covenant Christian Warriors vs. DeMotte Christian Knights

Two dominant guards in Isaac Crane and Tony Bos are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Covenant Christian Warriors will take on the DeMotte Christian Knights in a tournament on Friday. Covenant Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.3 points per game this season.

Covenant Christian is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Greenwood Christian Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Crane, who posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Harris, who put up eight points and four steals.

Meanwhile, DeMotte Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Hammond Academy of Science & Tech on Friday, but they still walked away with a 38-34 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Covenant Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for DeMotte Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
