Softball Game Preview: Desert Edge Scorpions vs. Paradise Valley Trojans

The Desert Edge Scorpions will take on the Paradise Valley Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Desert Edge is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Canyon View on Wednesday. They lost 11-1 to the Jaguars. The Scorpions have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Paradise Valley's offense. They came up short against Desert Edge, falling 19-0. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Paradise Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was April Delgado, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Desert Edge's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Paradise Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
