The Durham Academy Cavaliers suffered their biggest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 65-40 defeat at the hands of North Raleigh Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Durham Academy has suffered against North Raleigh Christian Academy since January 28, 2021.
Durham Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rashyia "Shy" Williams, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Williams has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sarra Abdelbarr, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
