Hunterdon Central extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 18-5 in the process. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Millburn Millers, sneaking past 4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Devils also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

As for Millburn, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since April 12th.

For Millburn's part, Elijah Balady was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. That's the fewest earned runs Balady has allowed over his last three contests.

On the hitting side, Millburn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Greg Rosenthal, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Coming up, Hunterdon Central will venture away from home to face off against Hopewell Valley Central at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Millburn, they will welcome Wayne Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
