Volleyball Recap: De Soto Victorious

De Soto's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the North Crawford Trojans. The Pirates have beaten the Trojans the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Trojans has come to flipping the script.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 19-25, 25-14, 25-14.

De Soto found their leader in sophomore Brynn Venner, who had seven digs and two aces.

De Soto was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

The victory got De Soto back to even at 9-9. As for North Crawford, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, De Soto will take on Kickapoo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Crawford has already played their next match (against Seneca), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
