Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eldorado to victory, but perhaps none more so than Izyiah Rivera-Kyle, who picked up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Rivera-Kyle was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 50 yards. Greyson Howard was another key player, having thrown for 263 yards and three touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Eldorado's defense and their five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Peyton Culver got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Silverado over Rancho in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Skyhawks blew the Rams out of the water with a 54-0 final score. The result was nothing new for the Skyhawks, who have now won four matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Eldorado better keep an eye on Dillon Elliott. He was instrumental in Silverado's win, throwing for 240 yards and three TDs on only 11 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jersiah Eva, who picked up 99 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Silverado, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Logan Lane, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Silverado didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Banks Delima, Donte Jasames, and Kiyan Jackson picked up one apiece. Jasames got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The win made it two in a row for Silverado and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 12 points in those games. As for Eldorado, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Eldorado was taken down by Silverado 36-0 in their previous matchup back in September of 2015. Can the Firehawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
