Soccer Game Preview: Hayfield vs. Falls Church

The Hayfield Hawks will take on the Falls Church Jaguars at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Falls Church will have to contend with a Hayfield squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen yet this season. Hayfield and Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology finished up their match with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday. The result (or lack thereof) marked Hayfield's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Falls Church). They never let Edison get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Tuesday. Falls Church haven't had any issues with Edison recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Falls Church's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 2-6-1. With that draw, Hayfield's record moves to 0-7-1.
