Soccer Recap: Western Triumphs

Western played in conference for the first time on Monday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They had just enough and edged the West Broward Bobcats out 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Juan Rios and Martin Calderon scored both of Western's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Western's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6-1. As for West Broward, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8-1.

Western has already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Everglades on the 14th. As for West Broward, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the West Broward challenge the Pembroke Pines Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pembroke Pines Charter will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something West Broward surely won't give up without a fight.
