Volleyball Game Preview: Winchester Red & Black vs. Barnstable Red Hawks

The Winchester Red & Black will head out on the road to challenge the Barnstable Red Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Winchester will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

On Monday, Winchester made easy work of Belmont and carried off a 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Barnstable got the win against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional on Friday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Red Hawks in their matchups with the Dolphins: they've now won eight in a row.

Barnstable was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-12, 25-18.

Barnstable's win came from a few key players Winchester will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Molly Colantuono, who had seven digs and two aces.

The win got Barnstable back to even at 5-5. As for Winchester, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.

Winchester took their win against Barnstable when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red & Black since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
