Volleyball Recap: West Brunswick Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If West Brunswick was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of New Hanover on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans came up short against the Topsail Pirates on Thursday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

West Brunswick was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-22, 25-11.

West Brunswick has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Topsail, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Brunswick will host Ashley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Topsail, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilmington Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
